An Atlanta Unity service is like inviting hundreds of people into your home every week. Our Ushers serve as the gracious hosts for the invitees at Atlanta Unity, assuring that everything is in order for them when they arrive and meeting their needs while there during the service. Being an Usher requires teamwork to coordinate the hosting process. Ushers facilitate seating in the Sanctuary, waiting to seat latecomers until after meditation, hand out bulletins, give Welcome Packets and flowers to visitors, receive the offering and bring it forward for the blessing, and stay after service to straighten the Sanctuary. It's the ministry that makes the difference in every Sunday service.

Greeters are the first people to welcome a new person or family to Atlanta Unity. Their primary task is to create an initial atmosphere of love, unity and enthusiasm for our visitors. Why is this important? Our community can be unfamiliar to many and we never know what the circumstances are in an individual's life. The skills and talents of Greeters, a smile and a hand shake, can make the difference in someone's decision to come back. Greeters provide the first introduction for new people to the services offered at Atlanta Unity.

They make new people feel at home and introduce them to being comfortable about making us their spiritual home. They love to get to know folks and are enthusiastic about what God is doing through our church. Greeters exhibit a sense of excitement every time a visitor spots one of the friendly faces ready to make them welcome.
