Atlanta Unity Church: A Center for Practical Spirituality
ATLANTA UNITY

Getting in Touch with the Soul's Sanctuary

Many find a home for the heart at Atlanta Unity. We are a church and a family that recognizes each person as an integral part of our ministry.

Our church is a center for spiritual growth. We offer four services each week and a variety of adult classes taught from a metaphysical perspective.

Atlanta Unity is a safe place, rich in resources where those who attend can question and grow in clarity as they discover their true spiritual nature.

The membership at Atlanta Unity reflects the diversity of its community. We are the spiritual center that exhibits the flags of many nations and we welcome all people to join with us

as we grow in love.

Our Mission ...
Atlanta Unity is committed to empowering people to realize their indwelling Divinity by following the teachings and example of Jesus Christ. We celebrate this Divine process through worship, joyful service to God, prayer, meditation, music and education.

Our Vision...

We transform the world by calling forth, inspiring, and equipping all people to remember and express their indwelling Divinity.

Unity founders Charles and Myrtle Fillmore

Atlanta Unity celebrates our long history……

The Silent Unity prayer ministry was the founding work of Unity. It originated in the heart of cofounder Myrtle Fillmore, who, through her own spiritual awakening, was healed and began to share her ideas and consciousness with others. “Unity is a link in the great educational movement inaugurated by Jesus Christ; our objective is to discern the truth in Christianity and prove it.  The truth that we teach is not new, neither do we claim special revelations or discovery of new religious principles.  Our purpose is to help and teach mankind to use and prove the eternal Truth taught by the Master. Myrtle's inspiration came from these words: “I am a child of God and therefore I do not inherit sickness.” As she held this idea in mind, she manifested healing through affirmative prayer. Myrtle's husband Charles embraced technology, beginning with the printed word, for sharing Truth and prayer affirmations. In 1907, he added the new telephone technology to the prayer work of Silent Unity. Charles knew that this would enable even more people to receive the prayer support they desired. Silent Unity now prays individually with callers from around the world.

Honoring Diversity

In Unity, we do not believe that God excludes. We believe that all people are created with sacred worth. It is imperative that Atlanta Unity and all Unity ministries be free of discrimination on the basis of race, color, gender, age, creed, religion, national origin, ethnicity, physical disability, or sexual orientation.
